Ruth Markway
Master Designer

I have been a working stylist in Jefferson City for over 25 years! I am passionate about hair color and believe in continuing education. I get excited about designing a new look just for you!

I am currently a Matrix Master Artistic Educator as well as a Missouri State Board Examiner. I have attended the Matrix Global Academy several times. As a winner of a cosmetology contest, I got to experience my dream of working with a design team and attending a photo shoot in New York.

My vision of life is: Blossoming through learning and discovering inspiration, having fun, living passionately, and finding beauty everywhere.

Laura Jo Fretwell
Master Designer

Laura Graduated from Merrell University in 2008. She worked in Jefferson City as a Professional Hairstylist for four years before joining the Marshall & Company team in 2012. Laura is a graduate of the Aquage Master Class Academy.

She says "People often ask me what my favorite part of my job is; whether it's cutting, coloring, or styling... To be honest, the greatest thing about my job is the variety. The fact that I get to meet and build relationships with all types of people, that every color service and haircut must be customized for each individual to suit their lifestyle and to achieve the look they want. I love that the Beauty Industry is always changing and expanding my opportunities to utilize my artistic skills."

"I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive because I love coming to work every day. I am passionate about this industry and promise to never stop learning, and never stop growing as a human being and as a beauty professional. "

Alyssa Boss
Designer/Esthetician

Hi! I am Alyssa Boss. I'm a licensed Cosmetologist and Esthetician. My passion is to please my guests and that is what drives me. I work extra hard every day to make sure people enter as our guests and leave as my friends. When I am not focused on giving you the look you always imagined- I enjoy decorating my home and shopping for the latest fashions. I hold three things very dear to my heart: my Family, my Friends, and most importantly my Faith. I come from a large and very close family, so building close relationships with my guests is very important to me. I do not consider what I do as work, because when you love what you do you never work a day in your life. Please come in and allow me the opportunity to set your new standard on guest satisfaction. I look forward to giving you a new look and better yet some time for yourself to relax and renew.

Rachel Frank
Designer

She graduated from Paul Mitchell The School in Springfield Missouri in 2009. After graduation, she worked for several years at A Valeria Boss Salon in Springfield. Rachel decided to move back to her home town of Jefferson City, and has been with Marshall & Company ever since. Rachel participated in a photo shoot for James River Church and has done makeovers for residents of a women's shelter in Springfield. She also participated in Red Hot Nights, a fashion show that helps promote heart disease awareness. Rachel is a graduate of the Aquage Master Class Academy and the Aveda Business college's Benchmarking for Team Members.

Rachel says "I love trying anything new. If you are not out of your element from time to time, you're not learning."

Alexxis Easley
Designer

I have been a hair stylist in the Jefferson City area since 2010. My passion started when I was only 9 years old, growing up with four younger sisters, I was able to really practice and express my creative abilities on my siblings. At my first experience at a hair show, I held on to the words "spontaneity equals creativity." I truly believe that! I love every aspect of the cosmetology world, from simple haircuts to drastic makeovers. Anything to enhance the beauty of others excites me! It's my expression of art! I look forward to you sitting in my chair so together, we can create something beautiful.

Cheyenne Hone
New Talent

Codi Lauf
Apprentice

Codi is delighted to be the first cosmetology apprentice at Marshall & Company. This means she will be educated in the salon in lieu of a traditional cosmetology school. Master Designer Kelsey Lenox and Owner Kim Marshall are overseeing her work throughout the 3000-hour program. Having one- on- one training and learning from the exceptional Marshall & Company team will help her pass the state board exam and grow into a talented stylist, just as Kim did when she was an apprentice learning from her Mother. Codi sees her work as an avenue to rejuvenate one's spirit. A friend of hers always used to say while teasing her hair, “The higher the hair the closer to God”. Serving her community is something else Codi is passionate about. When she’s not chasing her three children around or doing DIY projects with her husband Jon, she enjoys coaching volleyball, volunteering at her church, running and reading.

I am a Cidesco Internationally Certified Esthetician, which is one of the highest honors that you can receive in the field of Esthetics. I am so grateful to be where I am at such a young age and part of the amazing team at Marshall & Company. I look forward to continuing my education and bringing the best service possible to our guests! How can I help you? Let's talk about it!
